Studio D Office
Designed to house the eight-person Innovations & Design Strategy team of John McNeil Studio, this small office serves many functions. Informal meetings, consumer workshops and filmed interviews all happen within the front “living room” space. A large rolling door enables the living room to open entirely to the outdoors. Semi-private offices are located behind the wall and upstairs on the mezzanine.
A simple folded wall defines spaces, houses utilities, hides storage and introduces unexpected texture. The leathery black wall surfaces are made of torched pine inspired by the Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban.
